TASTING NOTES
The aroma of white peach, zesty lemon and lime, with pleasing floral undertones reach the nose. Elegant yet bursting with flavours of peach, quince, Granny Smith apple. Minerally undertones with hints of spice.
The white grape blending components for this flavourful wine all derive from old vineyards, namely Chenin Blanc, Viognier and Chardonnay. As per normal practice on Lammershoek, they are farmed dry-land. Selected grapes from various vineyard pockets were handpicked early morning. The three cultivars were handled separately in the cellar and the final blend was only made-up after eight months of aging. Meanwhile, the wines had been fermented and aged in various size concrete and stainless steel tanks and oak barrels. A year of bottle-aging followed before release.
